Tell us about the early design brief
The brief was to design a logo, and to create and sustain the branding and communications that would bring the spirit of the Olympic Games to London.
What inspired your design concept?
We were constantly inspired by being part of a design community, especially one which was involved in such a momentous project. It was fantastic to be involved in a project which had at its heart, the idea that design is creativity with function. That it wasn’t just great-looking but hard-working – having and serving a real purpose.
How did it feel to be involved in such an important British project?
It felt quite staggering. It was hard work but incredibly rewarding to be involved in a project that had real focus on creating breath-taking results.
